Andrew Stover Bio
Andrew is a 21 year old college student living in Michigan. He’s 5’6”, 165 lbs. and enjoys going to games and the occasional bar.
I started skating when I was four years old. By the time I was seven, I was obsessed. First hockey, then by the time junior high rolled around, football.
My friends used to say, in not-so polite terms, that I was more enamored with sports and ESPN than I was with women. Although not true, you get the point.
I’ve always been the sports guy. I played varsity hockey for four years in high school in a small Northern Michigan town; played varsity football for two years.
Currently, I go to Central Michigan University and I’m the sports editor for Central Michigan Life, the university paper (www.cm-life.com).
I was promoted up to that position rather fast, but got a semester of covering gymnastics (much more fun than you’d think) and a few spring football assignments. While editing and designing next year, I’ll also cover the football team. That means trips to Arizona, Boston College, Buffalo and so on. It will be a busy fall.
As for out-of-school writing, I enjoy sharing my opinions on football, hockey and baseball. I enjoy watching the hometown teams – Red Wings, Lions and Tigers – but I keep my eyes on the national wire for any controversial subject that begs for an opinion.
